A little about ME!
My name is Victoria Ann Benitez, also known as Tori. I have been married for going on four years, and I married the man of my dreams on October 25, 2014! We had our first baby girl on July 22, 2015, Isabella, and Ariel arrived May 21, 2018. We have TWO fur babies, Dyno and Stormy, one dog and one cat.
I graduated from Klein Forest High School in 2006. I then went straight to Sam Houston State University to begin deciding on what I was going to do for the rest of my life. My four years at SHSU were fun and life changing. I changed my major almost every semester, but in the end stuck with my heart and have a Bachelor's Degree in English. I graduated in 2010, and began working in Aldine ISD as a teacher. I worked with 7th and 8th graders and loved the trials that I went through. I was a reading teacher and loved the challenges that were placed on my doorstep, but the best memories from those four years of teaching was the relationships I was able to build with my students. Not only was I able to build relationships, I was able to also build a love of reading into them all. During my third year of teaching, I decided that it was time for me to go back to school and become a LIBRARIAN! Believe it or not, you have to have a Master's Degree to become a librarian. I graduated after two crazy, but fun years of the Master's program, in 2014!
I started out my life as a librarian in Sheldon ISD and now have moved back to Aldine ISD to open up a brand new school. I love the new challenges that have been placed into my life. Switching from Middle School to Elementary school, and opening a brand new school have all been a bit of a shock, but I am making it work. I am falling in love with the kids and the teachers at my new school! I cannot wait to see what the next years will bring me!
